Yes, the MerchTapp experience is split into two powerful components to give you maximum control:
- 1. The Web Hub (The Neural Center): Accessible on any browser (Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android). This is where you manage the "brain" of your operation: viewing deep-dive reports, syncing inventory, setting up discounts, and managing your 2FA security settings.
- 2. The Tap to Pay Mobile App: Installed directly on your Android phone or iPhone. This app acts as your physical terminal at the merch table, allowing you to process contactless payments instantly using your phone's built-in NFC sensor.
Yes! The MerchTapp POS is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can install it directly onto your Windows PC, Mac, or Tablet so it acts just like a native program with its own icon in your dock or taskbar.
How to Install:
- On Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Look for the "Install" icon (a computer with an arrow) on the right side of the address bar.
- On iPhone/iPad (Safari): Tap the Share button and select "Add to Home Screen".
- On Android (Chrome): Tap the three dots and select "Install App".
Note: While the Web POS is your "Neural Center" for reports and inventory, you still need to use the mobile app on your phone for the physical Tap-to-Pay transactions.
MerchTapp users can request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.
To request account deletion:
- Email us at support@mercht.app
- Use the subject line: Delete my MerchTapp account
- Include the email address associated with your MerchTapp account
After we verify the request, we will delete your MerchTapp account and associated personal data, including your login profile, saved device information, and account identifiers.
Some transaction, payment, fraud-prevention, tax, security, or legal records may be retained where required by law, payment processing rules, Stripe/financial compliance requirements, or legitimate business obligations. Retained records are kept only for the required retention period and are not used for marketing.
Deletion requests are usually processed within 30 days.
MerchTapp users may request deletion of some or all of their personal data without deleting their account.
To request data deletion:
- Email us at support@mercht.app
- Use the subject line: Delete my MerchTapp data
- Include the email address associated with your MerchTapp account
- Describe the data you want deleted
We will review and process eligible deletion requests. Some transaction, payment, fraud-prevention, tax, security, legal, Stripe, or financial compliance records may be retained where required.
Data deletion requests are usually processed within 30 days.
